Chime - Uganda
Chime is a Norwegian association which has so far helped 1 300 women to begin keeping pigs in poverty-stricken Ugandan villages.
Giving poor females a small loan in the form of a pig allows them to help themselves on the road to economic independence. This project has led to a marked improvement in prosperity and living standards, and contributes to a growing number of children being able to attend school.

A great many people in Uganda, as in the rest of Africa, never get the chance of a better life. By giving poverty-stricken Ugandan women small loans in the shape of a pig, Chime is providing them with an opportunity to help themselves become economically independent.
