EEG research - Nordic region

Electroencephalography (EEG) is a simple method which measures electrical activity in various areas of the brain.

Six Nordic hospitals – in Reykjavik, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Roskilde, Bergen and Oslo – have collaborated for a number of years to develop methods for using EEG in early diagnosis of dementia.

A new study of people with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) aims to investigate whether this new application of the technology can predict who will develop dementia over a two-four year period.
