Human Practice Foundation - Nepal and Kenya

The strategy of Denmark’s Human Practice Foundation is to strengthen the ability of poor people to create their own value, and education represents one of its core commitments.

With backing from the Kavli Trust, its programme in Nepal is helping to improve the school day for 930 children in the Sunsari and Solukhumbu districts in the east of the Himalayan country. Children there have a long journey to school and provision is poor. Support from the foundation will improve facilities and materials as well as boosting training for 60 teachers.
