Echo Optimizing a group-based school intervention for children with emotional problem.
When children struggle—can schools be part of the solution?

What if children could get the help they need—right in the middle of the school day?
This project further develops a group-based programme for children aged 9–12 who are dealing with anxiety and low mood. Delivered at school in small groups, it gives children practical tools to manage their thoughts and emotions.
The programme is based on cognitive behavioural therapy and is led by health professionals, with close involvement from parents throughout.
Previous research shows very strong results. Now the programme is being further tested and refined, in collaboration with schools across the country and with input from international experts.
The goal is to make support more accessible, more effective—and better suited to children’s everyday lives.
