NOKAbout the project
Not all children grow up with the same opportunities. In areas facing socio-economic challenges, barriers in education, employment and access to safe leisure activities can shape life outcomes.
Erikshjälpen’s Future Workshops address these challenges through a holistic model combining support in education, employment and leisure. By working closely within local communities – alongside schools, employers and civil society – the project builds long-term relationships that create lasting change.
Building on proven results, the initiative will now expand to reach more children and families, strengthening confidence, inclusion and future prospects while generating positive ripple effects in local communities.
What the funding from the Kavli Trust will support
The Kavli Trust funding will help develop and scale three core programme areas:
- Study Workshops: Academic support to improve school performance and motivation
- Job Workshops: Practical training, guidance and pathways into employment
- Leisure Workshops: Safe, inclusive activities that promote wellbeing and belonging
The project emphasises early intervention, prevention, and building democratic competence among young people. It also strengthens locally anchored, long-term collaboration models.
