NOKAbout the project
Across the world, millions of children are growing up in crisis—coping with trauma that affects both their mental health and their ability to learn. Together for Wellbeing (TfW30) builds on NRC’s proven Better Learning Programme, an evidence-based approach to psychosocial support in education.
By engaging teachers, caregivers and communities, the programme creates safe, supportive learning environments where children can recover, rebuild confidence and re-engage with education.
The initiative aims to reach hundreds of thousands of children globally, while also driving systemic change by embedding psychosocial support into education systems.
What the funding from the Kavli Trust will support
The Kavli Trust’s funding will help scale the initiative through:
- training educators and frontline staff
- adapting tools and methods to local contexts
- strengthening partnerships with local organisations
- expanding digital platforms for shared learning
- building sustainable models for long-term impact
This is a strategic investment in early intervention and prevention—designed to create lasting ripple effects for children, communities and societies.
