Feasibility, efficacy and cost-effectiveness of therapist guided internet-delivered CBT for adolescents
Can online therapy work as well as face-to-face sessions?
What if effective treatment didn’t require travel, waiting lists, or time off?
In this project, researchers are testing internet-based cognitive behavioural therapy for teenagers with depression. The young people meet their therapist via weekly video sessions, with parents involved as support.
The teenagers themselves help shape the programme. It is first tested on a small scale—then in a larger study.
The goal is to make effective treatment accessible to more people, in a way that fits into everyday life.
