What is the effect of trauma treatment for children and young people with a refugee background
What is the effect of trauma treatment for children and young people with a refugee background?
Children and young people with refugee backgrounds are at increased risk of mental health challenges, yet there is limited robust research on which interventions are actually effective for this group. In particular, there is a lack of knowledge about how interventions can be adapted to different contexts, how they are best implemented in schools and communities, and the role of family and social networks. Systematic reviews highlight the need for more practice-oriented and context-sensitive research.
