The call for pre-proposals was opened July 5th 2017, and eligible applicants were invited to submit short pre-proposals before September 27th.
Thirty-one pre-proposals were submitted before deadline, applying for a total of EUR 27 M.
Most applicants plan to carry out collaborate research projects with collaborating institutions from two or more countries, and many strong research groups are represented.
All projects target one or more of the evidence gaps included in the call, and they all seem to be able to provide valuable knowledge within the somewhat understudied research field of children and adolescent mental health.
The pre-proposals reveal that the Kavli Trust will be able to support some innovative, ambitious and long-awaited projects when the review process is completed and the decision on which of the 31 projects that will be granted support has been made.
