This Privacy Policy details how the Kavli Trust processes the personal data that we collect in order to serve our collaborators, the public, and others.

Responsibility for data processing

If tasks have not been delegated, the Kavli Trust’s CEO is responsible for the processing of your data. Any requests for access, correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, or requests for deletion or removal of data can be directed at CEO Inger Elise Iversen.

Email

You are welcome to email us but please be advised that every organisation is vulnerable to data theft. We therefore recommend that you do not share any sensitive information by email. If we receive emails with sensitive content, we will process it according to the contents and then delete the email.

Digital traces

When you visit kavlifondet.no/en you leave digital traces. These traces are the result of your browser automatically sending information to our servers as you are visiting the different pages on our site. None of this information can be used to identify you.

The Kavli Trust uses the information gained through the use of cookies to chart the use of our website.

In order to generate this data, we use the analytics tool Google Analytics. Google Analytics is regulated by Google’s privacy policy, which can be found here.

The data we collect through cookies and send to Google Analytics are:

  2. From what page you were referred.
  3. The browser used.

All user data in Google Analytics is completely anonymous and cannot be used to identify you.

The Kavli Trust on social media

The Kavli Trust has accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube. Employees administering our accounts have signed confidentiality agreements and have good password routines. Our social media accounts are monitored and moderated during work hours.

Please keep in mind that sharing on social media can help spread sensitive content. We therefore urge you to carefully consider what personal information you share on social media. We advise you not to send personal and sensitive information via our social media accounts.

Employees and recruitment

Kavli Trust obtains and processes the following personal information about its employees: name, gender, date of birth, address, telephone number, employee number, position, salary band, bank details, next of kin contact details, names of children and union affiliation.

Kavli Trust obtains this data in order to:

● Carry out necessary human resources management and pay wages.
● Give employees IT equipment and access to applications necessary for conducting their work.

Information received in connection with appointment is filed in personnel records until the employment relationship with Kavli Trust is terminated. Data that employees are obliged to archive under the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act, will be filed for five years, in accordance with the statutory requirements. Kavli Trust has procedures for deleting user accounts (including email) and formatting any work computer when the employment relationship ceases to exist.

Personal information of applicants for positions in Kavli Trust, will be obtained and processed after informed consent, in accordance with applicable privacy laws. A written informed consent is obtained from each applicant.
