Robin Hood House - Norway

The Kavli Trust supports the Robin Hood House Foundation’s work to recruit and follow-up volunteers for its activities in Bergen.

The project is directed particularly at immigrants who are offered an arena through voluntary work for inclusion, language training and learning about Norwegian working life.

Funding from the trust finances a volunteer coordinator at the Robin Hood House. Goals for the project are to strengthen the volunteer base and to develop the centre as an integration arena.

The Robin Hood House provides an important meeting place for many people in economic difficulties, and is used by a wide range of groups – pensioners, the disabled, welfare recipients, economic migrants, refugees, asylum-seekers and others.
