Social entrepreneurs see opportunities where others see problems. “Do something about it!” aims to encourage secondary school pupils to spot such possibilities in society – and to help seize them.

To achieve that, youngsters will start their own companies with a social purpose and seek to make the world a rather better place to live in.

Funding from the Kavli Trust will meet the cost of courses and follow-up for pupils and teachers, teaching materials, and presentation of the social results yielded by the project.

“Secondary school pupils know that life isn’t always a bundle of laughs, and they’re better placed than anyone else to solve some social problems,” says Ingeborg Nykkelmo, head of Young Enterprise Norway.
